What caused Tatooine to dry up?
Tatooine is a desert planet in a binary star system. It once had large oceans full of marine based life and a world-spanning jungle, but this biosphere was destroyed when the myopic Rakata razed the planet, drying up its riverbeds and boiling away its oceans. Tatooine has two stars, as it is in a binary star system.
Set 26,000 years before the original trilogy, Dawn of the Jedi depicted a bright and vibrant Tatooine which looked similar to Earth. Before the oceans dried up, the planet was engulfed in blue and green with water and rainforests.
Against the elders' wishes they colonized nearby star systems and this drew the attention of the Rakata. In 25,793 BBY, the Rakatan Infinite Empire invaded the planet, conquered and enslaved its native inhabitants and then abducted many to their other conquered worlds.
Long ago, Tatooine was covered in oceans and rainforests, but for unknown reasons, it became a hot desert world. Tatooine orbited twin suns, Tatoo I and Tatoo II. The whole planet was covered in harsh deserts, and only a small part of its northern hemisphere could sustain intelligent life.
His reasoning is “Dantooine is too remote a location for an effective demonstration. ' It wasn't big enough to really scare the populace and Tatooine was the same. What made Tatooine an important planet to the Galactic Republic and later, The Empire?
Star Wars Just Revealed the Dark Side of Obi-Wan's Stay on Tatooine. Star Wars: Obi-Wan #5 revealed that Ben Kenobi harbored feelings of depression, pain, and loneliness during his stay on Tatooine.
"I don't like sand. It's coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft, and smooth."
In 22 BBY, a funeral was held for Shmi Skywalker Lars at the Lars moisture farm on Tatooine. The funeral followed her death one month after being kidnapped and held hostage by Tusken Raiders.
During the recital of Tusken Raider history, the player learns that Tusken Raiders were once human exactly like the player, Tatooine though now a desert planet was once a lush and verdant world, and the original humans in the Star Wars Galaxy were abducted from this world by the Rakata of the Infinite Empire and then ...
Upon returning to the Sanctuary, Fett was confronted by the Twins—a brother and sister—who arrived on Tatooine to inherit the territory of their late cousin, Jabba the Hutt.
Who is Anakin's father?
Anakin Skywalker is the son of Shmi Skywalker, born without a father through the Force. He is the secret husband of Padmé Amidala, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, the father-in-law of Han Solo, and the maternal grandfather of Ben Solo.
The young Jedi survived Order 66 as a youngling. He tracked down Obi-Wan on Tatooine, hoping the Jedi master would help him. Obi-Wan sadly turned the Jedi away and Nari eventually was killed by the Inquisitors and hung in the town square for everyone to see.
In the "Chapter 4: The Gathering Storm", Bib Fortuna is Jabba the Hutt's majordomo who took over his throne after he died. Later, when Fett gets his ship back from Jabba's palace, Fett kills Fortuna and usurps the throne.
Tatooine's average day lasts 23 standard hours, and its year consumes 304 local days.
All Sand People wore mouth grilles and eye coverings to retain moisture and keep sand out. However, their need to protect their bodies from Tatooine's weather grew into a taboo against exposing any part of their bodies in public. Because of this, Tuskens almost never unmasked themselves, even in front of one another.
Obi-Wan knew Darth Vader would never willingly go to Tatooine, because the desert world held too many bad memories for him.
Qui-Gon is fatally wounded in a lightsaber duel by the Sith Lord Darth Maul. In his final moments, he makes Obi-Wan promise that he will train the young Skywalker.
The Death Star's most famous weakness was its thermal exhaust port, but Star Wars has hinted the battle-station had another critical weakness that would have become clear over years. Emperor Palpatine intended the Death Star to be almost invincible, but he had not factored in Galen Erso's sabotage.
Reva knows that Anakin Skywalker is Darth Vader because she was one of his targets—a child—during the Order 66 killings that took place during the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Arguably, most Star Wars plot points revolve around characters simply not knowing something, very often about their family history. But, on top of all of that, the biggest reason Obi-Wan doesn't know Anakin is alive is that the last time he saw Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, Ben literally left him for dead.
Why doesn t Leia remember Obi-Wan?
Theory 1: Leia Doesn't Remember Ben Is Obi-Wan
Throughout her encounters with Kenobi in the series, he refers to himself as Ben. The most straightforward explanation would be that Leia knows the person who rescued her is Ben, and never connected the dots that Ben is actually Obi-Wan.
Can't Stand - Emperor Palpatine. Some would say that Palpatine represented Vader's only friend and companion, but real fans know that this is anything but the case. In many ways, Palpatine enslaved Vader and, over the years, Vader undoubtedly grew to resent his master.
Enraged by Shmi's death, Skywalker ignited his lightsaber and slaughtered the guards standing outside the hut. He proceeded to murder every Tusken in the camp, including the women and children.
Terrio describes Rey's journey to Tatooine as a pilgrimage honoring the Skywalker family heritage, saying: “Rey brings the sabers there to honor the Skywalker twins by laying them to rest—together, finally—where it all began.
In the films, Jabba is a powerful crime lord on the planet Tatooine, who is of the Hutt species.
There, Rey unveiled her finished, single-bladed weapon after burying the two lightsabers of her mentors, Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, at the ruins of the Lars homestead—the former place of residence of the Skywalker family.
After escaping the infamous Sarlacc pit, Boba Fett is enslaved by the Tusken Raiders. He quickly earns their respect, and they make him a part of their tribe.
After C-3PO and R2-D2 landed on Tatooine, Jawas picked up the two droids, fitting them with restraining bolts. The Jawas sold the robots to Owen and Beru Lars and their nephew Luke Skywalker, a seemingly minor event that would change the fate of trillions in the galaxy.
The Tusken Raider Jedi
Sharad Hett was a famous Jedi Master who exiled himself on Tatooine. He became disillusioned with his life as a Jedi after the loss of his family. Sharad Hett embraced the culture of the Tusken Raiders.
Who killed Jabba the Hutt?
Princess Leia Organa, who had been subjected to the humiliation of being one of Jabba's slave girls, used the chain that bound her to strangle the Hutt. His body was consumed by the flames that exploded from his sail barge as the Rebels raced for freedom.
Though Bane had left a slight psychic imprint on her, the being that remained was wholly and unmistakably Zannah. With Bane dead, leadership of his Sith Order was transferred to Darth Zannah, the new Dark Lord of the Sith.
Anakin Skywalker, a Tatooine slave boy, was gifted in engineering -- and was strong with the Force. To help his mother, Shmi, he secretly built a droid: C-3PO. In his earliest form, Threepio had no outside covering, and so appeared “naked,” with his internal parts and motors showing.
If not, the only logical explanation is that Jar-Jar is a member of the Sith. There are many theories surrounding the enigma that is Jar-Jar Binks. The most agreed upon theory, started by Reddit user Lumparoo in 2016, is that Jar-Jar is a powerful Force-user conspiring with Darth Sidious.
Some have believed for years that Palpatine was revealing that Anakin was his "son." However, this is not the case, as Matt Martin clears up again. He explains. "He doesn't literally say that. It can certainly be inferred, but he doesn't say it.
In The Rise of Skywalker (2019), the final film in the sequel trilogy, Palpatine is revealed to be the mastermind behind the First Order and creator of its puppet leader, Snoke, as well as the grandfather of protagonist Rey.
Order 65 stated that if a majority of the Senate or the Security Council declared that the Supreme Chancellor—at that time Palpatine—was unfit for duty, the Chancellor was to be arrested or, if necessary, killed.
Yoda claims to have been training Jedi for 800 years. The second time Yoda mentions his long life is in Return of the Jedi, when he tells Luke, “When you reach 900 years old, you will not look as good as you will.” If we take Yoda at his word, that means the Jedi Master died at the ripe old age of 900.
Who Saved Grogu From Order 66? As depicted in "Chapter 20: The Foundling," Grogu was rescued from the attack on the Jedi Temple by Jedi Master Kelleran Beq. Beq completed the daring escape that got Grogu to safety, then escaped the attack with his life.
Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta female, was the Padawan learner to Anakin Skywalker and a hero of the Clone Wars. Alongside Anakin, she grew from headstrong student into a mature leader.
Who ruled Tatooine before Boba Fett?
The Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett is the latest Star Wars project to put down roots in Tatooine, following the infamous bounty hunter from his miraculous escape from the sarlacc pit to a takeover of territory once controlled by Jabba the Hutt.
Han Solo was a male Human smuggler from the planet Corellia who achieved galactic fame as a member of the Rebel Alliance and later the New Republic.
Obi-Wan was around 38 when he arrived on Tatooine, so the aging was much quicker.
Yoda's race and home world have not been named in any official media, canonical or otherwise, and he is merely said to be of a "species unknown" by the Star Wars Databank.
Biology and appearance
Through the study of corpses and skeletal remains, Baobab xenobiologists discovered that Jawas appeared to be gaunt, rodent-like creatures, with shrunken faces and yellow eyes.
Then, after he escaped and his armor was stolen by Jawas, he was left for dead in the harsh Tatooine desert for an unspecified amount of time, during which sandstorms and the sun did even more damage to his skin. In other words: Boba Fett's entire body is basically scar tissue.
In The Book of Boba Fett, these Tuskens only took Fett because they found him. Boba Fett has found a way to commune with the Tusken Raiders. Had Fett encountered a different tribe of Tuskens, this series would be going very differently.
The Great Drought was a period of intense drought conditions on Tatooine, a desert world in the Outer Rim Territories, in the years prior to the Battle of Yavin.
In the old Legends canon we learned that Tatooine used to be a lush world with large oceans and expansive greenery. Once Disney took over the franchise most of the old lore was stripped away, not unlike Tatooine's oceans, but a recent episode of The Book of Boba Fett brought that that piece of Tatooine's history back.
In 9 BBY, the gray carcass of a tibidon sand whale was partially submerged in the desert of the planet Tatooine. A sand whaling station called Tibidon Station was established to harvest the meat from the carcass, with foreman Groff Ditcher overseeing workers like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padu Cherd as they cut up the meat.
Where do people on Tatooine get water?
A moisture vaporator, also known as a vapor spire, was a device used on moisture farms to capture water from a planet's atmosphere. They were typically found on desert planets such as Tatooine where surface water was scarce.
The Rakata believed that the native Kumumgah, who had fought the Rakata ever since they had conquered Tatooine in 25,793 BBY, were responsible for the plague, and the Rakatan bombardment glassed the verdant world.
Jawas are meter-tall humanoids completely hidden behind rough, hand-woven robes. Their faces are concealed within the dark folds of a cowl, from which peer their sickly glowing yellow eyes. They comb the deserts of Tatooine in search of discarded scrap and wayward mechanicals.
Planets with oxygen-rich atmospheres, referred to as "Type I atmospheres," included Naboo, Tatooine, and Coruscant, among many others.
Want to visit Tatooine? If so, take a trip to Death Valley National Park! The famous Star Wars movie series filmed scenes in the park for Episode IV - A New Hope and Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.
Tatooine's average day lasts 23 standard hours, and its year consumes 304 local days.
